RWJF awards $6.3M to 200+ communities to accelerate population health initiatives

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation granted $6.3 million to the 100 Million Healthier Lives Initiative, which will enable more than 200 communities and 500 healthcare organizations to advance population health efforts.

The initiative is aimed at improving the health, well-being and equity of communities by equipping health leaders with access to improvement science and transformative leadership skills. The goal is to incorporate more sustainable changes in numerous communities.

"This initiative will increase participating community members' ability to develop, test, and improve local solutions to improving health," Hilary Heishman, senior program officer of RWJF, said. "The ambitious goal of engaging this number of communities and health care organizations has the potential to make a real difference in improving health in every corner of the US."
