New Mexico is the worst state in the U.S. for overall child well-being, according to a report published by the Annie E. Casey Foundation, a nonprofit that aims to improve the lives of children.
The report, “Kids Count,” tracked child well-being in all 50 states in four domains: economic well-being, education, health, and family and community. Within the four domains there were 16 measures taken into account, including death rate and poverty levels.
