Winchester, Va.-based Valley Health has renamed its heart and vascular center in recognition of a "significant contribution" made to the system.
The Clyde A. Smith Heart & Vascular Center was renamed in honor of the Valley Proteins founder, whose life was affected by heart disease, according to a Nov. 25 news release from Valley Health.
Adding new technologies and improving access to heart disease care is a large focus of Valley Health's capital campaign, the release said.
