Veritas Collaborative recently opened a new hospital for adults with eating disorders in a Durham, N.C., according to the Triangle Business Journal.
Here are four things to know.
- Last September, Verita relocated its existing hospital for children and adolescents with eating disorders to a new 64,000 square foot space in Durham. The original 25-bed facility now houses the adult treatment hospital, according to the report.
- Veritas spent about $250,000 to complete minor renovations on the original facility before opening the new hospital.
- Since January, Veritas has hired 100 new full- and part-time employees more for the new adult and expanded adolescent hospital, according to Stacie McEntyre, founder, president and CEO of Veritas.
- Ms. McEntyre said the hospital is in the process of evaluating 11 individuals for admission, which she expects to occur within the next week.
