UP Health System Marquette (Mich.) will open a $300 million replacement hospital in April 2019, according to WLUC.
The 700,000-square-foot facility will feature 275 beds, all private patient rooms and medical office buildings.
Construction on the hospital is expected to wrap up at the end of 2018. However, the hospital needs time to practice moving patients from the current hospital to the new facility. The transport of patients will occur over one day in April 2019.
The medical office buildings attached to the facility will open in March 2019.
