Steubenville, Ohio-based Trinity Health System kicked off the second phase of a $75 million expansion project Feb. 26 by demolishing the Teramana Outpatient Center to make way for a five-story patient tower, according to WTOV, a local Fox and NBC affiliate.
The new building will wrap around the hospital's existing entrance and will include a new lobby, additional public space and new private rooms.
"We have a great opportunity here at Trinity to redefine the patient experience. We will be an all-private hospital. Every patient that comes here when this project is done will have a private room," said Matt Grimshaw, CEO of Trinity Health System. "Our goal is to transform the way healthcare is delivered here in the Ohio Valley. We have a great opportunity here at Trinity to redefine the patient experience."
The new tower is expected to open by early 2021.
