Medical City McKinney (Texas) has started work on a $17 million project to expand care for mothers and newborns.
The project includes an enhancement of a patient tower that was completed in December 2021, according to a Feb. 7 Medical City McKinney news release.
The initial phase of the project includes an additional 24,000 square feet being built to provide space for a 21-bed neonatal intensive care unit, 12 luxury postpartum suites and separate women's services entrance for patients and visitors, according to the release.
Construction on the multi-phase project is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.
