Columbus-based OhioHealth plans to consolidate a portion of its nonclinical workforce in Dublin, Ohio, according to a Columbus Business First report.
As part of those efforts, the system seeks to buy and renovate a building in Dublin. The building would eventually house up to 750 administrative associates including 200 new positions over the coming years, according to the report.
OhioHealth opened 94-bed OhioHealth Dublin Methodist Hospital in 2008 and moved hundreds of billing and financial workers to Dublin three years prior. Today, OhioHealth employs over 2,000 clinical and administrative workers in the city, according to Dublin officials.
City council members have approved $4.9 million in incentives over 11 years for OhioHealth, which the system will use to retain jobs in Dublin. Per the incentive package, the system plans to retain about 1,300 administrative jobs in the city in various locations and add 200 jobs gradually from 2020 to 2024, according to the report.
OhioHealth said it is developing its final occupancy plan and timing for the facility.
