Northwell receives largest gift in history

New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health received the largest single gift in its history, an undisclosed donation from Lloyd and Victoria Goldman, to help fuel the health system's expansion into Manhattan.

In recognition of the donation, Northwell will name its medical pavilion under construction in Manhattan after the Goldmans. The $450 million, 15-floor pavilion is set to open in 2026 on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, according to a Nov. 15 Northwell news release.

Mr. Goldman is a real estate investor and president of BDLG Management. Ms. Goldman is an educational consultant and author. The couple announced the donation at Northwell's annual Constellation Gala.

"We are grateful to Victoria and Lloyd for their extraordinary generosity, which will enable Northwell to provide the best comprehensive, multidisciplinary care in one place for New Yorkers," Northwell President and CEO Michael Dowling said in the news release. "Their historic gift fuels our ambitious vision to reimagine healthcare in the heart of New York City and enhances Northwell's position as the healthcare destination of choice."
