The possibility of a new 131-bed hotel to be located next to Loma Linda University Medical Center-Murrieta (Calif.) and designed for temporary nursing staff accommodation and others appears to be taking a step closer to reality, a Dec. 5 patch.com report said.
Officials will meet Dec. 6 in Murrieta to discuss the six-story building plans and possible revenue-sharing agreements with the proposed developers. The hotel would be under the Homewood Hilton Suites brand on a 2-acre lot just south of the hospital, the report said.
Prior discussions about the hotel project have included input from Loma Linda University Medical Center, according to the city. The hotel would offer temporary living space for hospital staff, traveling staff and local residents and would likely feature larger suites and apartment-style living units as a result.
Gross revenues of approximately $70 million are projected to be generated in the first 10 years of the hotel opening, according to developer calculations, the report said.
The hospital group enjoyed an upgrade from Fitch Ratings last month as its newly opened Dennis and Carol Troesh Medical Campus showed solid operating performance in a high-growth area, Fitch said.
