Lebanon, N.H.-based Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center is in the midst of building a $150 million inpatient pavilion, CBS affiliate WCAX reported Sept. 21.
The project is expected to lower healthcare costs in the long term.
"We are relatively undersized for the size of the community we serve," Joanne Conroy, MD, CEO of Dartmouth Health, told the news outlet.
The new pavilion will be 200,000 square feet and include 64 additional patient rooms.
Construction is slated to wrap in 2023.
