New Orleans-based LCMC Health has opened a 48,000-square-foot medical complex in neighboring Metairie where specialists from nearby LCMC hospitals can see patients, according to NOLA.com.
The $30 million, four-story building will house pediatric physicians and specialists in cardiology, urology, general surgery, primary care and obstetrics/gynecology. There will also be an infusion and imaging center.
"Our vision is not just about expanding our brick-and-mortar footprint, but more importantly about the communities we serve," said Greg Feirn, CEO of LCMC Health. "This new Ridgelake Health Center allows us to reach more patients where they are, from pediatrics to adult care, as access is key in delivering healthcare with a focus on quality, comfort and convenience."
The medical complex is part of a $400 million initiative to expand, renovate and build facilities in the five-hospital system.
