Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare is continuing its run of building freestanding emergency rooms in Florida with a new $17.7 million facility in Maitland, Orlando Business Journal reported July 19.
Construction on the 11,000-square-foot facility will be completed by spring 2024. The facility will have 11 emergency exam rooms and hire 40 clinicians.
Currently, HCA has five existing freestanding ERs in central Florida and is working on four more in the Orlando metropolitan area.
In January 2022, HCA purchased 59 urgent care centers in Florida.
