Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson, Md., broke ground Sept. 2 on a $166 million expansion and modernization project.
The project includes a three-story, 117,000-square-foot addition to its inpatient hospital and a two-story, 70,000-square-foot pavilion that will move the medical center's Sandra & Malcolm Berman Cancer Institute's services and specialists to one location.
The hospital expansion project, which will add 60 patient rooms, is slated to be completed in fall 2023. The cancer pavilion is expected to be completed in fall 2024.
The expansion is part of The Promise Project, which is partially funded by donors and aims to modernize the 342-bed hospital for the next generation.
