Florida hospital granted $750K for renovation

Florida state legislation has approved $750,000 in funding to revamp buildings on Jackson Hospital's campus in Marianna, Fla., My Panhandle reported Sept. 22.

"That’s huge for a rural hospital especially coming out of the pandemic where funds are tight and of course, the community and everyone has seen over the last couple of years the needs that the hospital meets for our community more than ever before probably," Jackson Hospital CEO Brooke Donaldson told the publication.

In the renovation, the hospital plans to relocate administrative offices to make for more patient beds.

The hospital is also planning to construct an ambulatory surgery center and a diagnostic imagery center in the future.
