M Health Fairview — a new brand that combines Fairview Health Services, the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians, all based in Minneapolis — will open a walk- in clinic in the Mall of America.
The clinic, expected to open in November, will provide physicals, vaccinations, treatments for minor illnesses and injuries, employer drug screenings and other common services.
The clinic also will offer treatments for travel-related sleep problems, gastrointestinal distress and other medical issues.
The retail clinic isn't the first to open in the Minneapolis-based mall. Nearly eight years ago Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic opened a small clinic in the Mall of America, but it closed the site in 2013, according to Twin Cities Business.
