Duluth, Minn .-based Essentia Health is looking to secure $800 million in bonds to fund its campus upgrade, according to The Duluth News Tribune.
Dubbed the Vision Northland project, the upgrade will include construction of a hospital, clinic and outpatient surgery center, all expected to be completed in 2022.
Essentia Health is turning to the Duluth Economic Development Authority to issue the bonds. According to Heather Rand, the authority's executive director, taxpayers will not have to support the bond.
"The bonds are payable exclusively by Essentia Health," Ms. Rand told the News Tribune.
