ChristianaCare updates plan to reopen hospital it acquired from Tower

Newark, Del.-based ChristianaCare is planning to reopen the former Jennersville Hospital, which it acquired from West Reading, Pa.-based Tower Health last July, in late 2024.

The hospital will be known as ChristianaCare West Grove (Pa.). The campus will have 10 inpatient beds and 10 emergency department treatment rooms to meet the Pennsylvania Department of Health's requirement for a microhospital.

ChristianCare's 2024 opening date is subject to change due to work required to bring the hospital up to current standards, according to a March 28 ChristianaCare news release shared with Becker's.
