Advocate Aurora to build $74M Wisconsin hospital after COVID-19 delay

Advocate Aurora Health will start building a $74 million, 70,000-square-foot hospital this month. The hospital will expand a health center and be called Aurora Medical Center-Fond du Lac (Wis.), Fox 11 News reported May 16.

Advocate Aurora has dual headquarters in Milwaukee and Downers Grove, Ill.

The entire facility will be 185,000 square feet and have 10 new patient beds and an eight-bay emergency department.

The project was announced in 2020 and was supposed to begin construction in 2021, but was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic. It is expected to open in 2024.

Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh (Wis.) will partner with the hospital to provide some services.
