The following seven hospitals and health systems have announced upgrades or expansions since Oct. 11:
- Ashland, Ky.-based King's Daughters Medical Center is set to build a new emergency department.
- Hollywood, Fla.-based Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital completed a $166 million expansion.
- Cheyenne (Wyo.) Regional Medical Center opened its upgraded labor and delivery unit and its neonatal intensive care unit.
- Norman (Okla.) Regional Health System will embark on a $300 million, five-part expansion project.
- Sante Fe, N.M.-based Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center plans to construct a new $80 million cancer center on its campus.
- El Paso, Texas- based Providence Children's Hospital started building its new $15 million neonatal intensive care unit.
- Vancouver, Wash.-based PeaceHealth's Sacred Heart Medical Center in Springfield, Ore., finished a modernization project of its campus.
