1. Advocate Aurora Health breaks ground on $130M outpatient facility
Advocate Aurora Health, a recently merged entity comprised of Downers Grove, Ill.-based Advocate Health Care and Milwaukee-based Aurora Healthcare, broke ground Oct. 9 on a $130 million ambulatory surgery center and medical office building.

5. Novant Health to open 15 urgent care centers in North Carolina
Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health, in partnership with GoHealth Urgent Care, plans to establish a large network of urgent care centers across North Carolina. The first phase of the project will include constructing 15 centers in Charlotte and Winston-Salem, N.C.
6. UPMC Hamot breaks ground on $111M patient tower
Erie, Pa.-based UPMC Hamot broke ground on the largest construction project in its 135-year history — a $111 million patient care tower.
7. Sibley Memorial Hospital to open proton therapy center in 2019
Washington, D.C.-based Sibley Memorial Hospital, part of Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Medicine, is constructing a proton treatment center for cancer patients.
