Johnson City, Tenn.-based Mountain States Health Alliance has announced its Norton (Va.) Community Hospital will undergo an expansion, which will include an ED expansion and a new urgent care facility, according to a report from WJHL.
The ED expansion will increase capacity by 50 percent, bringing the current 12 patient rooms to a total of 18. It will be completed during summer 2015, according to the report.
The urgent care center will include four dedicated patient rooms and a lobby, which will be separate from the ED lobby, according to the report.
