Somnia Names Dr. Roy Winston Chief of Anesthesiology at Kaweah Delta Medical Center

Roy S. Winston, MD, has been named chief of anesthesiology at Kaweah Delta Medical Center in Visalia, Calif., according to a Somnia Anesthesia news release.

 

Anesthesia services at the hospital are provided by Primary Anesthesia Services, which is managed by Somnia.


Dr. Winston most recently served as associate director of anesthesiology at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, N.Y., and as interim chief of anesthesia at Memorial Healthcare in Owosso, Mich. Anesthesia services at both hospitals are managed by Somnia.

 

Dr. Winston, who has more than 20 years of clinical anesthesiology experience, previously practiced anesthesia in California in both hospital and ambulatory settings. He has also held anesthesia leadership positions in Georgia, achieved the rank of lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy Reserve, served on three space shuttle critical support teams for NASA as a flight surgeon and participated in the care teams for two U.S. presidents.
