N.J. Physician Receives Research Grant for Study of Removal of Uterine Masses Under Local Anesthesia

Robert J. Rubino, MD, founder of The Rubino OB/GYN Group in New Jersey, has received a research grant to study the use of an FDA-approved device for the minimally invasive removal of uterine masses in the office under local anesthesia, according to a report from The Jersey Journal.

 

The study aims to see if the device can remove fibroids and polyps in women while eliminating the need for general anesthesia

 

Results of the study will be published next year, according to the report.
