Ft. Myers/Cape Coral, Fla.-based Lee Memorial Health System's affiliated physicians teamed up with Florida Blue to launch an accountable care organization for businesses and individuals with commercial plans, according to The News-Press.
Lee Physician Hospital Organization began working this month with Florida Blue to improve care coordination and reduce costs, according to the report. The program will establish quality performance and cost targets, in a model similar to that of Medicare ACOs.
This partnership marks Florida Blue's 21st accountable care program, according to the report.
