A collective of 11 healthcare organizations based in Maine are teaming up to form an accountable care organization called Community Care Partnership of Maine, according to WLBZ 2 news.
The statewide network aims to make healthcare more affordable and accessible, as well as improve care coordination, according to the report.
The following organizations are participating in the collective:
- Cary Medical Center (Caribou, Maine)
- DFD Russell Medical Centers (Leeds, Monmouth and Turner, Maine)
- Katahdin Valley Health Center (Patten, Maine)
- Mayo Regional Hospital (Dover-Foxcroft, Maine)
- Millinocket (Maine) Regional Hospital
- Nasson Health Care (Springvale, Maine)
- Penobscot Community Health Care (Bangor, Maine)
- Pines Health Services (Caribou, Maine)
- Portland (Maine) Community Health Center
- Sebasticook Family Doctors (Newport, Maine)
- Saint Joseph Healthcare (Bangor, Maine)
The group expects to add more partners in the future, according to WLBZ 2.
