Waldo County General Hospital (Belfast, Maine). Waldo County General Hospital opened its doors in 1904. Rockport, Maine-based Pen Bay Medical Center and Waldo County General Hospital centralized operations and became a unified system under the legal name of Coastal Healthcare Alliance on December 1, 2015. The hospitals have successfully integrated more than 50 clinical and nonclinical programs, enhancing and improving the range of healthcare services offered to patients. WCGH was named among iVantage Health Analytics' Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals in the nation for the sixth consecutive year in 2016.
