Aspirus Medford (Wis.) Hospital. Aspirus Medford Hospital, part of the Wausau, Wis.-based Aspirus Network, has served the Taylor County community since its humble beginnings in 1920. In collaboration and partnership with the Taylor County Health Department and other health agencies, Aspirus Medford assisted in the development of a five-year community health plan for Taylor County residents. In 2016, Aspirus Medford was named among the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals in the nation by the National Rural Health Association. It also received Healthgrades' 2016 Outstanding Patient Experience Award.
