Jeffrey A. Romoff. President and CEO of UPMC (Pittsburgh). Mr. Romoff leads UPMC, a $12 billion global health enterprise headquartered in Pittsburgh. He has held executive healthcare roles in Pittsburgh for 43 years, first at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, then at the University of Pittsburgh, and he was instrumental in the establishment of UPMC. From 1986 to 1992, Mr. Romoff was Executive Vice President of UPMC and Vice President for Health Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh. In 1992, he was named President of UPMC and in 2006 became President and CEO. Under his leadership, UPMC has grown to become the largest nongovernmental employer in Pennsylvania with more than 60,000 employees, more than 20 hospitals, 500 physician offices and outpatient sites, a 2.8 million-member health insurance services division, and international and commercial services.
