According to U.S. News & World Report, the hospital is recognized as high performing in orthopedics, and The Joint Commission gave it the Gold Seal of Approval for hip fracture care, total hip replacement and total knee replacement. Within the Institute, the Hip and Knee Center offers a personalized program staffed by physicians, nurses and therapists as well as case managers and pharmacists. Because of their prowess, Geisinger Medical Center has been recognized as a Blue Distinction Center for hip and knee replacement.
