Northwestern Memorial Hospital (Chicago). The Center for Comprehensive Orthopaedic and Spine Care at Northwestern Memorial Hospital features six centers of excellence, including an orthopedic surgery program, a geriatric fracture program and a joint replacement program. The hospital is ranked No. 9 in the nation for orthopedic care by U.S. News & World Report for 2015-16. Two of Northwestern Memorial's orthopedic initiatives are the Sports Medicine, Injury and Rehabilitation program, which aims to facilitate expedient and safe recovery for professional athletes, and the Women's CCOSC Health Program, created to ensure that women of all ages receive proper specialized musculoskeletal care. The hospital is designated a Blue Distinction Center+ for hip and knee replacement and holds a Magnet recognition from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
