Johns Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore). U.S. News & World Report ranked Johns Hopkins Hospital No. 9 in the nation for cardiology and heart surgery for 2016-17. The Magnet-designated hospital offers a wide array of programs and centers dedicated to cardiac care, including the Johns Hopkins Women's Cardiovascular Health Center and the hospital's Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center of Excellence, which provides long-term care for patients with the genetic heart condition hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Since 1983, heart transplants have been performed at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
