Boston Children's Hospital. U.S. News & World Report ranked Boston Children's Hospital as the No. 1 pediatric hospital in the nation for cardiology and heart surgery for 2016-17. It has held the top spot on the publication's list since U.S. News & World Report began ranking pediatric hospitals by specialty. The team at the Heart Center at Boston Children's includes eight surgeons, 72 cardiologists and 13 anesthesiologists. Since starting its heart transplant program in 1986, surgeons at Boston Children's have performed more than 270 heart transplants.
