University of Kansas Hospital (Kansas City). The University of Kansas Hospital boasts its Center for Advanced Brain and Neurological Care, which offers treatment for brain aneurysms, strokes, tumors and traumatic injuries as wells as spine, seizure and movement conditions. The hospital was ranked in the top 20 nationally for neurology and neurosurgery by U.S. News & World Report for 2015-16. A Blue Distinction Center for Spine Surgery, the Magnet-recognized academic medical center has also earned several awards from Healthgrades: Each year since 2014, the hospital has received the America's 100 Best Hospitals for Stroke Care Award, the Neurosurgery Excellence Award and the Neurosciences Excellence Award.
