The Northwestern Center for Comprehensive Orthopaedic and Spine Care at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, part of Northwestern Medicine, was ranked one of the best hospitals for orthopedics for 2014-15 by U.S. News & World Report. The CCOSC features six centers of excellence, including a geriatric fracture program, a joint replacement program and an orthopedic surgery program. One of the center's current initiatives is the Women's CCOSC Health program, which was created to ensure women receive specialized musculoskeletal care. Northwestern Memorial Hospital is a Blue Distinction Center+ for knee and hip replacements and is a Blue Distinction Center for spine surgery as well.
