Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University (St. Louis). U.S. News & World Report named Barnes-Jewish Hospital the No. 10 hospital in the nation for neurology and neurosurgery for 2017. The hospital was first in the state of Missouri to be named a Comprehensive Stroke Center by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association and The Joint Commission. The hospital is also one of the first to receive Level One Stroke Center certification from the state of Missouri. The hospital's spine center is one of the largest clinical spine care practices in the United States and receives patient referrals from around the world.
