In their own words:
"HackensackUMC prides itself on its history spanning more than 125 years. It began as a 12-bed hospital built by and for the members of its community in response to the Great Blizzard of 1888. Since then, it has grown into a 775-bed world-class academic, research and medical center, and is the flagship hospital of the Hackensack University Health Network – one of the largest health systems in New Jersey. Despite its growth, HackensackUMC has never lost sight of its mission to provide superior healthcare to its patients. This is evident in the numerous awards and recognitions received, as well as the encouraging environment it has created for its healthcare team. The team continues to go beyond for patients and their families."
