John J. Lynch III has served as president and CEO of Main Line Health in Bryn Mawr, Pa., since 2005. Main Line Health is made up of four acute-care hospitals as well as a rehabilitation facility, an addiction treatment center, the Lankenau Institute for Medical Research, the Home Care Network and other facilities.
Prior to joining Main Line Health, Mr. Lynch served as vice president and COO of St. Luke's Episcopal Health System in Houston and as CEO of the system's flagship hospital, St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital.
Since he joined Main Line Health, Mr. Lynch has helped the system grow. Under his guidance, the system added an acute-care hospital and two health centers in order to better serve Main Line's suburban communities.
The system has earned national recognition since Mr. Lynch has been at its helm. In fact, Main Line was named in the top quintile of health systems in the nation in the medium health systems category by Truven Health Analytics, according to the system.
When he's not busy leading Main Line Health, Mr. Lynch is involved in healthcare and local community organizations. He serves on the boards of several organizations, including The Hospital & Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania, the Delaware Valley Healthcare Council, the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania and the Haverford School. He is also the immediate past chairman of the Institute for Diversity in Health Management.
Mr. Lynch earned a master's degree in health administration from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
