Who's most likely to use PTO and unplug?

Employees at larger organizations are more likely to unplug on PTO and feel less guilty about taking time off, a recent LinkedIn survey found.

Linkedin surveyed 11,150 U.S. employees from June 15 to Aug. 23, according to a Sept. 5 post that outlined the findings.

Among those surveyed who work at companies with more than 1,000 employees, 53% said they check in with work while on vacation. This was lower than the U.S. average and those at midsize companies (62%) — those with 201 to 1,000 employees — and small businesses (63%), which includes organizations with fewer than 200 employees, according to LinkedIn News.

Small-organization employees were found to be most likely to feel guilty on time off, followed by midmarket organization employees.

A previous survey found that employees at large companies were more likely to feel burned out, which could trigger taking more time off, LinkedIn News wrote.

Another recent survey found that Generation Z was most likely to unplug on vacation also but most likely to feel guilty missing work.
