Hospitals contributed 7,800 positions to the 31,600 jobs healthcare added to the U.S. economy in February, according to the latest jobs report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The February counts are decreases from January, when healthcare added 35,500 jobs and hospitals added 9,700 jobs.
Last month's job growth was mostly in ambulatory healthcare services, which added 23,600 jobs.
