NYC Health + Hospitals opened applications July 10 for a one-year fellowship designed to prepare post-residency graduates for administrative roles, the New York City-based health system said in a news release sent to Becker's. This is the program's fifth year.
Those selected for the fellowship are assigned to teams within the health system's offices of quality, population health, ambulatory management, managed care and patient growth, or medical professional affairs. Program curriculum covers the fundamentals of leadership and administration, improving outcomes through population health, change management, quality improvement and more.
Applications for the 2024-2025 fellowship will be accepted through September 29.
"The Clinical Leadership Fellowship offers mission-driven post-residency graduates the chance to work hand-in-hand with senior leaders to drive key operational improvements across our system," said Eric Wei, MD, senior vice president and chief quality officer at NYC Health + Hospital. "The fellows bring their passion, experiences, and out-of-the-box ideas to support our system's priorities and further our commitment to high quality care."
