The following organizations have shared hiring plans since Jan. 28:
1. Mercy Health-St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio, is joining forces with OhioMeansJobs to fill positions at the hospital.
2. The new Broughton Hospital, a psychiatric facility in Morganton, N.C., is nearly complete and hiring for all positions.
3. Southfield, Mich.-based Beaumont Health announced 500 job openings for salaried General Motors Co. workers who are being laid off.
4. Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus, N.J., announced it was offering immediate temporary employment and free meals to employees of a nearby paper mill ravaged by a January fire.
5. Meade, Kan.-based Artesian Valley Health System hosted a job fair Jan. 31.
6. Mercy Health–Springfield (Ohio) hosted open interviews Jan. 30 to fill more than 15 positions.
