More than two dozen Republican senators called for HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to discontinue her work assisting Enroll America, a nonprofit group aiming to encourage Americans to sign up for the health insurance exchanges.
The 28 GOP lawmakers harkened to questions surrounding Ms. Sebelius' calls to private entities requesting support and funding for the health law. HHS has contested that the Public Health Service Act allows the agency to drum up support for and from outside organizations related to public health and cited the Bush administration's partnerships with the private sector when rolling out Medicare Part D during his second term.
