Medline signed a medical-surgical distribution agreement with Pennsylvania-based Summit Health, the company announced June 28.
Here are three things to know about the deal.
1. Summit Health is a nonprofit healthcare system with more than 40 locations across Franklin County, Pa.
2. The three-year, $9.5 million annual agreement provides Summit Health with a greater breadth of products and services.
3. The agreement is effective through April 2021.
"Medline had already proven its manufacturing expertise as Summit Health'’s sterile procedure tray provider," said Bruce Kehr, Summit Health's vice president of supply chain. "The high level of local service we experienced led us to explore their distribution capabilities. It became clear that Medline is Summit Health's ideal strategic partner as we begin to transform our distribution processes into a more agile, optimized system."
