St. Louis-based Mercy Health's supply chain organization Resource Optimization & Innovation on Friday acquired Orlando, Fla.-based Healthcare Purchasing Alliance.
Here are four things to know.
- Orlando Health and Clermont, Fla.-based South Lake Hospital previously owned HPA, which is a group purchasing organization.
- Through the deal, HPA will become a wholly owned subsidiary of ROi and operate as a separate entity.
- Orlando Health and South Lake Hospital agreed to a seven-year GPO membership term with ROi, while also maintaining their HPA membership.
- Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
