Park City, Utah-based Distal Access created a new tissue resection device to easily remove uterine polyps.
The RESECTR is a disposable non-powered, hand-held surgical instrument that allows clinicians to manually target and remove a polyp with little risk of bleeding or uterine perforation. Clinicians can control positioning, tissue aspiration and cutting with one hand, squeezing the device's handle to activate the tool.
"The RESECTR is designed to improve safety, speed, and control during tissue resection.
