Minnesota medical supply company signs $491M federal deal

Agiliti, a Minneapolis-based medical device management company, inked a $491 million contract with HHS to manage and maintain the nation's emergency supply of respiratory medical devices, the Star Tribune reported Dec. 19.

The company received a one-year deal early in the pandemic to manage medical equipment for the government.

"We performed, I would say, flawlessly in that COVID period, not just standing it up, but deploying it, supporting it in the field and now recovering those devices," Agiliti CEO Tom Leonard told the Star Tribune. "And we're proud to continue to serve the federal government and excited by the new long-term contract as we aim to continue that vital support."

Agiliti acquired device repair company Northfield Medical in March 2021 and bought Sizewise, which makes and rents specialty hospital beds, in September 2021.
