The top concerns among supply and logistics professionals are fuel costs, inflation, delays and unpredictability, according to a DispatchTrack survey.
When comparing current issues to what survey respondents said would be a problem over the next six months, most trends pointed to the concerns diminishing. The exception was the topic of "losing business due to the economy," which 30 percent said is a current challenge and 48 percent will be an issue in the next six months.
Because of inflationary pressures, 62 percent said they predict operating costs will be 10 percent to 20 percent higher this year, and 17 percent said they forecast those costs to increase between 25 percent and 50 percent.
About half of the respondents said they are concerned about missing delivery windows in 2023, but for the year's overall forecast, 61 percent said they have a positive business outlook.
