Florida children's hospital pens 10-year deal with Philips

Miami-based Nicklaus Children's Health System secured a 10-year deal with Royal Philips, the companies announced April 30.

The health system, which cares for more than 500,000 patients a year, will adopt Philips technologies in a collaboration aimed at improving outcomes and enhancing patient and staff experience.

Nicklaus Children's will be the first location to adopt Philips' mobile, virtually helium-free Ambition X MR. The machine "never needs Helium refilling and can be discharged or re-energized quickly utilizing the EasySwitch solution, which allows for a controlled ramp down of the magnet, minimizing patient disruptions," according to a news release.
