FDA greenlights eye implant, hemophilia drug and more: 5 latest approvals

Here are five drugs or medical devices that have been approved by the FDA since Oct. 12:

1. Talzenna is used to treat a specific form of BRCA-mutated, HER2-negative advanced or metastatic breast cancer.

2. The FDA also approved the BRACAnalysis CDx test as a companion diagnostic test to Talzenna to identify patients who would benefit from the drug.

3. Yutiq is an intravitreal implant used to treat a rare eye condition called chronic non-infectious uveitis.

4. Hemlibra is now the first prophylactic treatment for patients with hemophilia A with or without factor VIII inhibitors.

5. Liletta, an intrauterine device, may now be used to prevent pregnancy for up to five years.
